The Chattahoochee Review – The Lamar York Prizes for Fiction and Nonfiction – two prizes of $1,000; stories and essays up to 5,000 words; entry fee $15 which includes a one-year subscription to the Chattahoochee Review
Crazyhorse – The Crazyhorse Prizes in Fiction, Nonfiction, and Poetry – winners in each genre will receive $2,000 and publication; submit short stories and essays of up to 25 pages (2,500 – 8,000) or a set of 1-3 poems; $20 entry fee / $35 International entry fee
Fish Publishing International – Short Memoir Writing Contest – first prize wins 1,000 euro, second prize wins fish online writing course; max word count 4,000; 16 euro for online entry – but check out details because they have discounts for additional entries but more expensive rates if you enter via post.
The Iowa Review – The Iowa Review Awards for Poetry, Fiction, and Creative Nonfiction – winners receive $1,500; first runners-up receive $750; winners and runners-up are published in each December issue; submit up to 25 pages of prose or 10 pages of poetry; entry fee $20 (apparently you can also get a discount subscription rate for the review too)
